The design process
1. Brief
After the initial consultation a design brief needs to be formulated, this can be either by myself, by the client or a combined effort. It ensures the client knows what they want from the project and acts as your point of reference during the project.
2. Research
An important stage, where a clear picture of the clients business is formed, along with information about their products & services, their customers, competitors.
3. Design
Once we have a clear brief, the idea is to then create preliminary design concepts based on the strategy we developed.
4. Proof
Often presented as a PDF file with the design in context. It’s now the job of the client to review the designs and provide feedback based on their objectives and the needs of their target audience.
5. Sign off
The final stage of the graphic design process, once all amendments and tweaks have been completed a final proof is sent to the client for approval.
6. Production
With an approved design, we are now able to implement the finished piece across all deliverables, which may include both print and web.
